I did not know that someone had put out another version of "The Anarchist Cookbook"!

Here is the best Mac & Cheese recipe I've ever found. My friend Monique is gone now, but her Thanksgiving Mac & Cheese was LEGENDARY...


Monique's Macaroni & Cheese

2 lbs. NY Sharp Cheddar
2 lbs. Land o' Lakes American
2 boullion cubes
about 1 ½ lbs. Macaroni
16 oz Sour cream
8 oz Cream cheese
2 sticks butter

Drain mac well and stir with a spoon
Boil mac ½ the recommended time with boullion cubes

Grease a heavy stock pot

Make a rue
1 T flour
1 stick butter
And a basic cream sauce
1 cup melted butter
2-3 cups milk
Pint of cream
Warm a stir until it starts to thicken

Add…
¾ of the cheddar
8 oz cream cheese
1 lb Land o' Lakes cheese
16 oz sour cream
Cook until thickened and its tastes cooked

Mix pasta with rest of grated cheese, saving enough to sprinkle on top
Add cream sauce
Salt to taste
Add cheese if needed. May need to cook a bit on stove top to get consistency, cheese cooked enough

Bake until crispy on top
